Elders, adults, and youth in the Nomwin ISLET in the Northwest region of Chuuk worked together to build family trees. The ISLET identified the loss of “inesamepwiinéú” or extended family as a major problem in Nomwin that impacts all aspects of life, including how knowledge is passed to the next generation. (2019)
