In Kosrae, the Island Observer ISLET created and posted 75 place name signs in Malem village. Signs denote significant land and water features in the village. Creating the signs involved interviewing elders about place names and holding community consultation meetings with municipal leaders, elders, and community members about sign placement and responsibility in November and December 2020.
