20 Apr Chuukese Geo-literacy Alphabet
This video was created by the Informal STEM Learning Team (ISLET) team in Chuuk, as part of the Geo-literacy Education in Micronesia (GEM) project. We held our ISLET meeting on a beach on a small island in Northern Namoneas. We challenged ourselves to go through the Chuukese alphabet and for each letter find something on the beach that can illustrate it. The fact that we succeeded illustrates the richness of both Chuukese environment and Chuukese language.
